#1Wide lawns beside the Außenalster
Alsterwiese Schwanenwik
Alsterwiese Schwanenwik is a spacious state park on the banks of Hamburg’s Außenalster, where broad lawns open towards calm water and the city skyline. The setting works especially well for an unhurried picnic, a sunset break or a relaxed evening outdoors, with enough room for sitting, walking and informal gatherings.
Cycling lanes support a ride along the waterfront, while the surrounding lawns also suit jogging, yoga and family time. Boats, sailing boats and stand-up paddle boards add movement to the view without taking away from the peaceful character of the park. Dogs are allowed, and the open layout is suitable for children. Summer evenings can become busy, but the generous space still leaves room to find a quieter spot.
